Scout and guide is a volunteer organization. Scouting is aneducational movement based on open-air games. Scouts and Guides learn play way methods, which bring integral development in a child. They become good leaders as well as good followers and true citizens of the country. They ever remain physically fit and mentally alert and morally upright. They become self-reliant and face challengers of life confidently with the motto ‘Be prepared’ and ‘Service to others’. To achieve all these we have regular teaching/training sessions both in primary as well as
secondary sections every Wednesday after the school hours i.e. students from class VI onwards are enrolled as scouts and Guides.
They are also taught how to make the maximum use of minimum resources provide to them in case of adverse situations. Camps are held in the school as well as outside the school to test these skills. Scouts and Guides make improvised temporary tents liek shelters and cooked food with the minimum resources available. They are also made to volunteer for various cleaning activities in slums, awareness programs and other social activities.
