PRABHUJEE ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL, a constituent unit of the Kriya Yoga Ashram (Kriya Yoga Foundation Trust) was born in a natural setting on 26th June 1984 with 26 students. It was founded and inaugurated by Swami Shankarananda Giri, the Life President with his Indian and European disciples.
The school was named after the great Kriya Yogi, World Teacher, Paramhansa Hariharananda as Hariharananda English Medium School. Swamiji then suggested the school to be named after Swami Narayan Giri, popularly known as PRABHUJEE, the worthy disciple of Param Guru Yukteswar Giri Maharaj which was gladly accepted by all the sadhus and Kriya Yoga Trust members.
After the Mahasamadhi of SWAMI NARAYAN GIRI (Prabhujee), it has been spontaneously suggested by Paramhansa Hariharananda and unanimously decided by all the Sadhus and board members to change the name of the school and dedicated it to Swami Narayana Giri in the name of Prabhujee English Medium School.
